My hiring experience
First, I am not writing this to promote or to discredit the said company. I am sharing this to give future and interested applicants idea on what I and 2 other applicants experienced during the whole recruitment process. Also, maybe I can call the attention of the recruitment department of the said company and let them know that there is something wrong with your process. Why? you will know later.
Friday 02/21/2014 at 10:30AM I went to Wells Fargo Taguig as a walking applicant, nagulat ako meron na pala sila sarili bldg. It was 2yrs ago when I last checked they were still renting in one of the bldg sa likod ng Venice Piazza.
So surrendered my ID then they gave me an tempo ID with badge swipe it on and entrance then guards where u had to put electronic device sa basket, astig prang airport :) then, front desk sabi ko applicant ako then, they made me sign 2 log books then I was told to sit on the waiting area.
Waiting area is marvelous, big space, clean and relaxing chairs, and they have 4 52 inch flat screen TV's that kept playing information about the company. They also have vendo for hot, cold and snacks, free coffe and water of course :)
Then I was called by an angel, ahahaha! not so tall girl, long hair and glasses that gives addition to her beautiful face, forgot the name though :( she said, process should be Initial interview, Versant then Final interview but since wla pa daw available for initial, gawa muna daw ako ng online info ko for wells fargo then mag versant daw muna ako. So, ok. online then versant and honestly 50/50 ako after ko gawin un. gave her
Then I was called for an Initial Interview by a diff girl (having in mind na wow, napasa ko pala versant, good job :)) So intial then she said that I passed her interview and will be endorsing me for Final whicl will be held aroung 10pm by someone in OPS. and since malapit lang nama ako I said yes, and she gave me a paper with the time and name of the person who will conduct the final interview.
Friday 02/21/2014 at 10:00pm, I'm back for the Final interview now, so same process till I got inside the waiting area. Then pass 11pm I was called by a guy whom will do the interview, name is Will. After 15-20min of question and answer he said the usual "I will evaluate then we will let you know, so please wait outside".
30min has passed, I was called by another girl and said that I passed the Final hand me a brown envelope and said fill this out and be back on Monday at 2pm for the job offer, I was also told to bring initial requirements for the said J.O. I said ok then went home.
Monday 02/24/2014 at 02:05pm, I was 5min late but it's ok since I only see 2 persons aside from myself. And there I see again my angel whom I don't know the name :) about 30min has passed and new applicants start coming in I started talking to these guys, Melo and Jun (not sure). Same as me they are here for their J.O. After another 30 min melo was called by my angel, me and jun thought she was already reading the contract then she came back after 15min saying, "nag Versant ulit ako kasi bagsak daw un versant ko last time" That's when I thought na may mali, we are here to be given Job Offers and not to go through the whole process again, but I ignored it since it does not concern me, yet.
But all of us are thinking, why would they call us here for J.O. then say we failed somewhere in the process? moreover, why do we even get to the Final process if failed something before that? NEVER seen any process like this before.
I was called next, and was said the same thing, but I took the Versant anyway having in mind that if I fail which I normally don't, makakarinig sila skin. Did versant then I waited to be called again. Melo was called 1st then was informed that she failed and will not get the job. What I was thinking, she did, raise an argument with the recruiter and at the end they compromise that they will give her another chance for versant. Then I was called and informed that I passed and was given another brown envelope same as the one given last friday, I said meron na ako nyan nung friday pa, (hmmmm....wala silang coordination?)
04:00pm, people scheduled for JO at 4pm started coming in, Melo was called again for another versant try.
04:30pm Melo was called and was tols she failed, she did not raise an agument this time but sadly went home.
06:00pm no update yet about our contract and we've been waiting for 4hrs now. Jun btw is not called to retake versant.
6:15pm ask an update from one of the recruiter and she saud "wala pa pong pirma ng hiring manager namin e". then said to myself "OK. so tinwag nyu kami dito ngaun for J.O. but and totoo wla pa naman talgang J.O. astig!"
07:00pm they started calling names for the real J.O. Jun was called first so I was expecting I will be next but guess what, a girl who came in at around 2pm for initial interview was called before me, I said FUCK! but I kept my calm, then another 2 guys who was scheduled 4pm was called next. That's it, I went to the guy calling for the J.O. and talked to him, he said i'm next then he called me. I read everything fast, gave the initial requirement and went home at almost 8pm.
I said to myself imna write revies about what happened and here it is.
To Wells Fargo, you got a nice bldg, a lotta people in recruitment and a good offer but your process totally suck! I know u guys know about "setting an expectation" but I did not see that in work during the total hiring process.
To those interested to apply here. Again, these is how I experienced it, me and another 2. It does not necessarily mean that it will happen to you. Wells Fargo is a good and stable company that is why I choose to stay regardless of what happened. GL on job hunting ^_^
